NVR Project
In 2012, in honor of the 5th anniversary of our NVR lifestyle, we started the NVR Project. Since No Vacation Required is all about maximizing life, the NVR Project is, appropriately, about pushing ourselves forward and ensuring that we live fully now. In honor of all the people who live in corners of the world that are devoid of opportunity – choice, freedom, democracy – we really can’t look at our fortunate existence any other way.
Beyond that, though, the NVR Project has become more and more about what we do as fulfillment pushers, rousing others to uncover the best of themselves in order to live on purpose. Yep, nudging others towards their own versions of NVR lifestyles! (Check out our “NVR-ized” counter in the footer.)
Because this is our mission in life, we often joke that – since we’re not contributing kids to the world – the least we can do is improve ourselves and the people who are already here!
Knowing and being yourself is the best contribution you can make to the world. After all, the more you are the person you’re meant to be in life, the happier and more fulfilled you are. That’s what we’ve both learned as we’ve navigated – and continue to figure out – the path towards a consistently maximized life. Again, we owe it to others who don’t have the same opportunities in life to live as fully as we can and to fight to make the planet a bit more hospitable for everyone.
