Our Ultimate Multiple Personality Travel Adventure
We’re on an adventure streak.
Our head-clearing time in Glacier National Park confirmed that we want to take our “live now” attitudes to the next level AND seek more aggressive adventures while our bodies can still hack it.
We’re off to Alaska, and we gonna tear it up. Read more
Back At Our Home Base
As we say over and over again, we feel very lucky to have an amazing life. We’re back in Seattle, and we’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey we had from Australia back to the US over the last few weeks. After disembarking in Los Angeles, we scrambled off to the American Music Awards and then up to Seattle the next day. As always, we’re happy to be back at home. We feel very fortunate to have our health and the ability to do all of the crazy things that we want to do. Read more

One More Thing from Samoa
We were anticipating our visit to Samoa, in particular, because this is the region that was hit by the big tsunami and earthquake about 6 weeks ago. One of our goals was to at least make an attempt to learn about what had happened and how it impacted the people. Read more

Hello from Sunny Fiji…
Is what we’d be saying if it were sunny in Fiji.
Travel doesn’t always go as you might hope – just like life. In the attached pictures, you see the last bit of sunshine we had in Wellington and Auckland, NZ along with a ”look at this tropical paradise” picture of Fiji. Read more
Happy Halloween from NZ
We’re at sea. It’s Halloween. People are going berserk with excitement because the staff has filled the ship with carved pumpkins and decorations.
Hello New Zealand
As we headed south from Australia down to New Zealand, the weather went from sunny to blustery. The captain warned that we were in for a rough couple of days. The ocean could be described as bouncy until last night when it turned down-right violent. Too bad, too, because it was shaping up to be the night where we might’ve actually stayed awake long enough to enjoy a cocktail or two. Instead we wisely sequestered ourselves in order to get sick in the comfort of our own room. We were able to watch a good in-room movie, though, which was a welcome distraction. All in all, it wasn’t as brutal as last year’s run between South America and Antarctica, but it was certainly no picnic. Read more
Goodbye Australia
Our time in Sydney was bookended by incredible weather – perfect for more poking around the city. The picture above gives you a good idea of the sites we saw as we ran around the city one last time. That’s a view from our hotel right on the edge of Hyde Park. Not bad. Read more
Update from Sydney
We rarely (never) bring the camera along when we run. That’s why we were so pleased with ourselves when we actually remembered to drag the Canon along when we went for a sightseeing run across the Harbour Bridge. We got a lot of good shots from various points along the way. You certainly can’t say that Sydney is an ugly city, can you? Read more
Springtime in Sydney
It’s about 5:00 am here in Sydney (on Wednesday). We are watching the sun come up from our room and are very happy to have had a good night of sleep. After our hellacious 14 hour flight on United, we arrived yesterday at about 8:00 in the morning. And – as all the experts tell you to do – we stayed awake as long as we possibly could. We made it until about 8:00 p.m. before dropping dead last evening. You’d think we’d be good at this by now. Read more
Hotel Snapshot: Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa
Before heading off to Moorea – and specifically The Pearl – we enjoyed reading the variety of reviews (everything from horrible to fantastic). We were intrigued by the reputation of Pearl Resorts, and were especially anxious to check it out for ourselves. The long and short of it is, the Pearl is gorgeous and certainly above average. However, when you consider the price-point, above average is not quite good enough. Read more
