Yesterday, at about 5:00 am, we were in the lobby grabbing coffee for our work session. We were approached by a manager and told that a tsunami was on its way to the Hawaii. We're staying up at 1700 feet perfectly safe. We also learned that they were well prepared and evacuating everyone from the beach areas up to this part of the island. Good news all the way around.
Having a ton of nervous energy, we decided to hike up to the top of a mountain, to see what we could if/when the tsunami hit. Here is a picture of the view we had. Thankfully the impact was minor (we saw nothing) and no one was hurt.
