We're fans of RuPaul's Drag Race.
We're not huge fans of super late nights out.
Although we're not into staying up way late (hey, we gots work to do!), we made an exception up in Vancouver. We decided to snag tickets to RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons, occurring as part of the city's Pride festivities.
For a variety of reasons that I won't even bother to get into here, the show was awful.
Everything else during the day/evening was perfect: The venue is one of our very favorites, we'd had a wonderful day exploring the city, our dinner – just prior to the show – was a big win.
In an experiment in not spoiling a day and not sticking around for something that's not working, we walked out after approximately 30 minutes. It wasn't an easy decision to make. You think about the money, you think about how irritated you are, etc. The moment we got out of the venue, we didn't think twice about our decision.
Don't give something that's not working more time than it deserves.
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. –William Penn
