We've mentioned before that – especially when we're in Seattle – we can tend to go lids down for some overly long work sessions. We exercise every day, but with a lot of sitting in front of the computer, that doesn't bring enough "coming up for air" into our lives.
We've been experimenting with different ways to start the day without first sprinting to the computer. Because we work with clients in time zones around the world, getting to the computer is the first thing that pops into my brain the second I open my eyes. It's gotten a little unhealthy.
Right now, we're trying to *get this* go outside before putting our eyeballs in front of technology. Because we've kind of turned into morning-ish guys, it's not completely awful. But it's not easy to throw on clothes and race outside pre-coffee.
Let's see if this lasts when the weather turns.
Who will tell whether one happy moment of love or the joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies. –Erich Fromm
