“Walled garden” gets thrown around a lot as an epithet. Not so in Casa NVR.
Being self-proclaimed contrarians, one might think that we are guys who want complete flexibility and unfettered ability to customize our technology. We don’t. When it comes to technology, we want comprehensive solutions that work seamlessly. We are not interested in serving our tech, we want our tech to serve us, which is why we are huge fans of Apple and, more recently, Squarespace.
If you know us at all, you probably know that we are unapologetic Apple fan guys. After decades of using Apple products – and I mean a LOT of Apple products – our zeal is well informed. From the original iPod (which still sits in our office) to our MacBook Airs and iMacs, we have rarely encountered an issue.
After years of fighting to make Wordpress work for us (and dealing with a DDS attack), we decided to try something completely different. With Apple as our ideal, we opted for Squarespace, another “walled garden” solution. Despite some initial issues around the migration, we’ve found Sqaurespace to be practically frustration free. More importantly, with a dedicated support team who knows the product in and out, we have somewhere to go if issues arise.
While we are doing our best to break down barriers in many aspects of our lives, we are firm believers in walled gardens when it comes to technology.
