This – at the tail end of our hosted trip in Glacier Country – was our first blustery day. We were actually lucky, as early June is oftentimes a quite blustery time in this part of the world.
Our day proves that the weather just doesn't matter. There's always something to do.
We had a fun, informative boat tour on Two Medicine Lake before taking the scenic, winding road to St. Mary, the key GNP entry-point on the east side of the park. We refueled and had a piece of the famous (yes, really) pie at Park Cafe. Do not miss this pie. Period.
Hunger (and sweet tooth) satisfied, we were eager to get up to one of the most gorgeous places in all of GNP – Many Glacier. The setting of Many Glacier Lodge (our home for the night) is truly spectacular. However, we had no time to check out the partially refurbished lodge. We were off for a hike with an expert from Glacier Guides. We were particularly excited, as we got to see what the #MT6Pack thought of our favorite trail. Hint: It did not dissapoint.
Back at the lodge, we enjoyed craft cocktails (yep, they're raising the bar) and a meal-with-a-view in the dining room. The two of us snuck away for a private walk by moonlight around the lake.
Oh what a day!
