Yes, definitely. BUT… Glacier is best experienced away from the car.

Thanks for a great article and photos about Glacier National Park. We are planning a trip to the USA & Canada with our three children, hopefully in the next year or two.

We are from Australia and are not used to the idea of bears etc (snakes and spiders OK, bears NOT…) so would there still be enough to see in the park from a vehicle without undertaking any major hikes? Thanks.

Nope – thankfully! The altitude isn’t too bad though out most of the park.

Glacier is definitely a place to be revisited. The Highline Trail looks so beautiful. Just be careful of those mountain lions (and grizzlies). Awesome pic of you guys.

Beautiful scenery and I’m glad you didn’t bump into any mountan lions! Hiking is one of my favourite hobbies and this looks like a top spot. I’m currently in the Canadian Rockies and there were a few hikes where you legally need four people, due to the risk of grizzlies! The most we saw were ground squirrels and a porcipine
