A Short Time in the Eternal City
Fantastic weather stuck with us in Rome. It was perfect for wandering around and snapping photos. We felt lucky to be enjoying summer-like weather without the brutal heat that can descend upon the area during those peak months.
Here’s a sampling of photos.
We especially love these first three random shots taken at the Coliseum. Maybe it’s because they also show off the spotless blue sky we enjoyed.
Next up… We’re cruising the Mediterranean coast and the Atlantic as we make our way (slowly) back to the United States.

Great photos! I was in Rome a long time ago with a high school trip, and I hope to return when I’ll have a little more appreciation and a better eye for photos.

I always love the clothesline photos. Isn’t it funny how they seem charming abroad and kind of tacky at home? Glad you had such great weather.

I think the same thing every time I take/see a shot like that.

The weather was great huh. I only made down to Rome once, despite being only an hour away numerous times. Anyway I’m glad I saw the Coliseum!

Well… at least you squeezed it in at the last possible moment. Paddington would have been very disappointed.

Cool photos. I haven’t been to Rome in a long time. Perhaps it’s time to return!
